Job Summary
Coordinate maintenance tasks to keep a senior living community safe, clean, and well-maintained. Responsible for interior, exterior, and grounds upkeep; perform routine and deep cleaning of carpets, furniture, windows, and hard surface flooring; assist with landscaping coordination and waste removal; implement and document a preventative maintenance program; refurbish apartments for resident move-ins (patching/painting; carpet replacement; vinyl flooring and ceiling fan work); maintain fire safety and emergency records; respond to environmental concerns (natural disasters, fires, power outages, plumbing issues); maintain SDS catalog; inspect apartments for hazards; schedule and track maintenance tasks and work orders using building management software; perform repairs or escalate to Maintenance Director/Executive Director; support communication between staff and residents’ families; collaborate with team and participate in safety and quality assurance initiatives; comply with policies and regulatory standards including HIPAA; participate in required training; and perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of related maintenance experience preferred
- Completion of an accredited maintenance training program may be considered in lieu of work experience
- Applicable state license(s) as required
- CPR or BLS certification preferred
- Working knowledge of carpentry including drywall repair, painting, light plumbing, and preventative maintenance
- Proficient in basic computer systems and software (Microsoft Office, internet browsers, electronic records platforms)
