Maintenance Controls Technician

Job Summary
Consult diagrams, manuals, and standards to maintain backup documentation for control systems and instrumentation. Install, configure, calibrate, and repair pneumatic, analog, and digital instruments, including PLCs and PACs, while organizing components to sustain plant process control. Diagnose faults by inspecting systems, terminating electrical and fluid connections, and replacing faulty parts. Prepare technical reports for equipment changes and manage projects to implement improvements. Work with corporate IT staff on network activities and assist engineering in plant design and hazard analysis. Perform scheduled maintenance programs, stay updated on industry technology, and remain on call to support production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to prepare technical reports for documenting issues/changes to equipment
- Must be able to manage projects for implementing changes and improvements
- Employee must be willing to be on call to support production needs
- Must have exceptional problem solving skills
- Must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming with Allen Bradley PLCs and other types of controllers
- Must be able to create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up
