Job Summary
Coordinate with administration and trades to complete construction projects and work orders efficiently. Diagnose lock security system malfunctions, adjust doors for alignment, and install security hardware including locks, panic hardware, and entry systems. Estimate materials, remodel office spaces, and conduct onsite assessments for steel door frames and hollow metal doors. Maintain files, request supplies, and assist personnel while responding to emergency situations. Perform field work involving measuring, modifying frames, and fabricating parts. Shovel snow or operate snow removal equipment to ensure safety. Maintain tools and adhere to safety practices. Requires a driver's license, tool operation skills, and physical ability to lift heavy objects.
Required Qualifications
- Current driver's license
- Ability to operate equipment used in trade including general hand and power tools, saws, manlift, forklift, etc.
- Knowledge of safety practices and procedures; and health standards and hazards
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities; and meeting deadlines and schedules
- Ability to adhere to safety practices; and operating equipment used in snow removal, construction and/or demolition
- Broad knowledge of carpentry, including equipment usage and maintenance; knowledge of general construction work; safety practices and procedures; and health standards and hazards
- Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- High school diploma or equivalent
