Job Summary
Assure parts availability in a cost-effective manner and maintain fleet records on inventory levels, preventive maintenance schedules, and corrective maintenance performed on all units. Input fleet information into the computerized fleet management system daily and receive, tag, stock, and dispense parts to mechanics according to Corporate and Regional policy. Act as a point of contact with vendors to order, receive, and ensure payment for goods and services, while preparing truck purchase orders for management approval. Reconcile financial data to the general ledger, produce productivity and usage reports, and support the Fleet Manager with analysis of fleet operations reports. Follow all safety policies and procedures; participates with the team to achieve safety goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Valid Driver's license
- 3+ years of experience operating in an administrative support capacity
- Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondences, and memos
- Ability to write complex correspondences
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
- Ability to interpret and manipulate complex computer software programs including, but not limited to: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, email applications, and other industry/project specific software systems
- Ability to type proficiently
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit number and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
- Ability to perform these operations using unity of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out complex instructions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Desired Qualifications
- AS or BS in a related field
- Experience in the support of fleet management
