Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance on the building, including fixing structural damage, repairing plumbing and electrical wiring, and maintaining HVAC equipment. Ensure all repairs and replacements for community common areas and units are completed promptly. Maintain the preventative maintenance program to extend facility life and minimize future repairs. Inspect grounds and buildings daily to identify and correct hazardous conditions or liability concerns. Assist in daily exterior clean-up of grounds, breezeways, and common areas. Manage customer service requests and monitor turnaround responsiveness while following all safety protocols and OSHA regulations. Participate in unit inspections as requested and ensure compliance with fire safety and sanitation procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Willing to submit to any drug screening as requested or required.
- All employees must keep their FIRST-AID certification current.
- The person selected for this position must be eighteen (18) years or older.
- Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience in the maintenance service field
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the shift.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and crouching to access supplies and clean.
- The ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Skills and knowledge of cleaning techniques preferred and the ability to follow procedures and keep on schedule.
- Organizational Skills: Must be able to maintain order and efficiency and keep work supplies organized.
- Mental: Must be able to handle stress well, stay calm under pressure; Ability to think and make decisions consistent with policies and procedures and licensing regulations.
- High School Diploma/GED, preferred
- Related certifications/license from a trade or technical college, preferred
