Job Summary
Maintenance Worker performs a broad range of general maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties to keep the facility in safe, clean, and efficient condition. Responsibilities include routine upkeep of mechanical rooms, sidewalks and driveways, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, painting, lighting, HVAC components, lubricating motors, and maintenance of fire safety equipment (extinguishers, alarms, sprinkler systems), generator operation, and regular inspections. The role also covers grounds maintenance (mowing, shrubs/weeds), waste handling (bio-hazard boxes), and compliance with safety and regulatory standards, along with attending in-service trainings and supporting both interior and exterior operations for a healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Moderate reading, writing, and math skills
- Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare or similar setting preferred
