Job Summary
Construct, install, repair, and maintain building structures, furniture, doors, windows, cabinetry, and other wood or composite fixtures. Perform repairs to drywall, framing, flooring, trim, and other interior/exterior finishes. Inspect campus buildings to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns; complete assigned work orders in a timely manner. Ensure safety standards comply with all applicable guidelines. Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively. Assist with classroom, office, and facility modifications or refurbishments. Collaborate with maintenance and facilities staff to support broader campus projects. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and follow safety procedures. Demonstrate a professional and courteous attitude with student-athletes, staff, guests, contractors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Prior carpentry experience required
- Experience in commercial, institutional, or school environments preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and work specifications
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions
