Job Summary
Perform interior and exterior modifications, including wood framing, drywall, trim work, and siding repairs for aircraft support equipment. Plan layouts according to blueprints and fabricate wooden trim and cabinetry. Repair building frameworks, rafters, and trusses while hanging doors and hardware. Assist in special events by setting up audio systems, arranging tables and platforms, and managing post-event cleanup. Maintain a valid Class C driver's license and obtain federal badging to work at this secure Coast Guard site.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of related experience
- Ability to operate basic hand tools
- Possess competencies in framing, installing and finishing drywall and doors/hardware
- Valid Class C Driver License
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Obtain and maintain federal badging and clearance requirements to work at this secure federal site
- Ability to stand and move throughout the building for extended periods, up to 85% of the workday
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve climbing stairs or ladders, working on ladders, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling
- Ability to access and work in confined or constricted spaces as required by job duties
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
