Job Summary
Repair and replace broken or non-functioning equipment through analysis of problems and determining necessary parts. Perform preventative maintenance and fabricate new plant items using welders, band saws, and presses. Troubleshoot electrical problems and complete repairs when appropriate while maintaining plant sanitation standards. Operate forklifts, bobcats, and end-loaders. Must be available for periodic on-call status. Requires high school diploma, two years in mechanical or construction, and knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years in mechanical, construction or equivalent
- Knowledge of PSM, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Ability to read and understand computer printouts and equipment specifications
- Skilled in operating a forklift, bobcat and end-loader
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external customers
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Able to be available for on-call status periodically (as needed)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
