Job Summary
Conduct general interior and exterior maintenance work including building mechanics, electrical tasks like light bulb changes, plumbing, painting, and minor repairs. Actively participate in preventive building maintenance procedures by performing daily tasks and ensuring service manuals are followed during system repairs. Report defective systems and make necessary corrections while adhering to sound engineering practices, building codes, and health and safety precautions. Assist with moving, lifting, and placing heavy materials up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders. Gather materials outside the property as needed and maintain all mechanical components of the building under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance
- In good physical condition, capable of handling heavy materials and perform labour intensive duties, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 100 pounds without assistance
Desired Qualifications
- High school Diploma or College diploma in mechanical technic of a building or an equivalent is an asset
