Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all feed mill equipment and facility components, including testing machinery and interpreting drawings for adjustments. Identify parts needing replacement, utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments, and respond to production requests regarding mechanical issues. Perform preventive maintenance, operate forklifts and aerial lifts, and communicate with management to diagnose potential problems. Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency while adhering to safety protocols. This role requires Monday through Friday shifts from 7am to 3:30pm, weekends as needed, and on-call duties. Candidates must have 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience, basic welding knowledge, and the ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Reading, General Math and Writing Skills
- Organized and able to multi-task
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of standard and metric measurements
- Minimum 1-2 years industrial maintenance experience
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing equipment
- General knowledge of welding/fabrication
- General knowledge of both low and high voltage electrical
- Ability to work overtime including, holidays, nights, and weekend shifts
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Willing and able to stand for several hours
- Ability to work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc. with use of PPE
- Ability to work in elevated areas
- Ability to perform physical job duties including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodations
Desired Qualifications
- General knowledge of boilers/steam systems
- General knowledge with programming technologies, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC) and variable frequency drives (VFD)
- Technical school preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
