Job Summary
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and execute repairs on industrial equipment to minimize downtime. Carry out part replacements, adjust machinery, and safely operate forklifts and cranes for material movement. Use hand and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble assets while inspecting work areas for safety and operational readiness. Support daily maintenance tasks and projects within a Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. This hands-on role is ideal for a candidate with experience in shop or manufacturing environments seeking to build expertise across multiple maintenance disciplines.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in a shop, warehouse, manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial environment
- Demonstrated ability to perform preventive maintenance and equipment troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with mechanical repair and basic electrical repair tasks
- Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools for maintenance and repair work
- Forklift experience with current or recent certification
- Crane operation experience in an industrial or maintenance setting
- General knowledge of industrial tools, equipment, and safe work practices
- Ability to work full-time hours Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- High school diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Formal training or coursework in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field
- Experience working within a structured maintenance program (CMMS or similar)
- Familiarity with reading basic mechanical drawings or equipment manuals
- Background in maintaining a variety of industrial equipment types (e.g., conveyors, pumps, motors)
- Exposure to safety programs such as lockout/tagout and job hazard analysis
- Valid forklift certification
- Crane operation training or certification
- Any relevant maintenance or mechanical certifications
