Job Summary
Maintenance Associate at Sugar Creek Charter School performs preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection) and conducts repairs across campus facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include maintaining classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas; troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues; coordinating with custodial staff and contractors; ensuring OSHA standards and DPI maintenance protocols are met; documenting maintenance logs; and supporting school operations and safety drills. Requires high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in maintenance/custodial/trades, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and basic computer literacy. Must pass background and fingerprinting clearance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in general maintenance, custodial, or trades work
- Strong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, operate machinery, and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic computer literacy for logging maintenance requests or updates
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
- Must pass background and fingerprinting clearance
