Job Summary
Maintenance Associate at Sugar Creek Charter School responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, fire suppression, and other building systems; troubleshooting mechanical/electrical/plumbing issues; upkeep of classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas; campus and grounds maintenance; assisting with school operations including setup for events, inspections, safety drills, and compliance with OSHA/DPI protocols; requires minimum 2 years of maintenance experience and a high school diploma or GED; valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in general maintenance, custodial, or trades work
- Strong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, climb ladders, operate machinery, and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic computer literacy for logging maintenance requests or updates
- Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
- Must pass background and fingerprinting clearance
