Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director, Facilities Maintenance, conduct repairs, maintenance, and light construction at all Agency-owned or leased facilities to ensure a safe environment. Paint Agency locations, perform repairs including outside walkway maintenance during inclement weather, and assist with structure, utility, and equipment fixes. Complete work order requests for maintenance, repair, or renovation timely, and perform light carpentry and construction for stores and satellite locations. Assist with setup, breakdown, and maintenance of fundraising events, and execute special projects as assigned. Requires a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or carpentry. Full-time role with hourly pay commensurate with qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before small groups of employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry, or ability to assist with projects under general supervision
- Valid drivers license in good standing and personal vehicle
