Job Summary
Maintenance Associate responsible for supporting the Plant Manager, leading maintenance activities, improving machine uptime, and implementing preventive/predictive maintenance programs. Requires hands-on millwright/industrial mechanic experience, PLC programming knowledge, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems expertise, budget oversight, vendor coordination, and adherence to EHS/OSHA requirements. Role includes troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, documentation of maintenance operations, and participation in continuous improvement to reduce losses and extend equipment life.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Conceptual knowledge of PLC programming
- 3-5 years’ hands on experience as a millwright or industrial mechanic
- Electrical maintenance experience
- 3-5 years’ experience managing ammonia maintenance
- 3-5 years’ experience managing employees and their performance
- Strong capabilities in pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and PLC systems
- Forklift Experience highly desired
- Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Supervisory/Management skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to flex work hours to provide off hour support
