Job Summary
Maintenance Associate responsible for a wide range of routine and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and safety of the community facilities and buildings. Responsibilities include lighting checks and replacements, maintaining and repairing doors/locks, caulking, painting, minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing repairs, gate/storage maintenance, pool area and common area cleaning, and other general repairs. Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and professional; capable of following Instructions and schedules; able to communicate effectively with managers, residents, and peers; valid driver’s license and vehicle required; background check, physical, and drug screen required. Physical requirements include walking long distances, lifting up to 75 pounds, and ability to operate a vehicle; willingness to travel as needed and maintain motor vehicle records.
Required Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience in related field
- Electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance experience desired
- Ability to use ladders and lifts
- General maintenance experience and basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with managers, residents, and peers
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle
- Must pass background check, physical, and drug screening
- Pleasant personality and people skills
