Job Summary
Maintenance Associate is responsible for the upkeep of grounds and common areas at a Garden Style property with 250-300 units, including cleaning, trash removal, light landscaping, assisting onsite maintenance staff, conduct building inspections for health and safety, provide customer service, report damages, stock cleaning supplies, and assist with tasks requiring two or more people. The role requires operating hand and power tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working outdoors in varying weather, and travel between properties as needed. Typical schedule is five days a week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, with potential weekend work. Required Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license
- Ability to understand instructions verbally and in written form
- Ability to communicate effectively, multi-task, and have good organizational skills
- Ability to work around chemical cleaning solutions
- Ability to frequently stand and walk
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, often weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights, including on roofs and in attics
- Ability to work in confined spaces, such as crawl spaces or mechanical rooms
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to operate equipment and tools, including power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery
- Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, rain, or snow
- Ability to travel between properties as needed, including driving a vehicle or using public transportation
