Maintenance Assitant

Job Summary
Troubleshoot building mechanical problems, perform repairs, and conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical, HVAC, and other equipment. Apply technical knowledge of systems while following all established safety rules, policies, and procedures. Participate in the on-call rotation every other week and complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Administrator. Prioritize tasks to respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner. This role supports Complete Care at Grande Prairie, a long-term care organization dedicated to professional growth and a family-like culture.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Basic computer skills
- Experience performing basic building repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, and painting
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to maintenance needs in a timely manner
- Full-Time Maintenance Assistant

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a long-term care (LTC) setting
- Completion of a maintenance apprenticeship
