Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant in a WellQuest Living community responsible for cleaning and maintaining common areas, assisting with electrical, mechanical, and other equipment maintenance; reports to Maintenance Director. Duties include cleaning floors and surfaces (sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing), maintaining maintenance rooms and storage areas, reporting hazards, following MSDS guidelines, and using proper safety signs. Must be capable of completing jobs on time, storing paints/chemicals properly, following local/state codes, and coordinating with emergency vendors when needed. Electrical, structural, painting, plumbing, and grounds duties are included, along with HVAC troubleshooting/repair, using tools, and performing preventative maintenance. Availability to be on-call 24/7 and provide positive interactions with residents during tours and routine communications. Education requirement: high school diploma or equivalent; Experience: at least six months in building/maintenance or janitorial work.
