Job Summary
Ensure infection control and standard precaution practices are maintained during all maintenance procedures, including proper use and disposal of personal protective equipment and infectious waste. Perform routine upkeep on grounds, parking areas, and driveways through cutting, trimming, sweeping, and snow removal as directed. Execute facility and equipment repairs covering plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems in compliance with established policies. Service heating and cooling units and systems according to manufacturer specifications and organizational procedures. Maintain a safe and comfortable environment through various facility improvements and preventative tasks. Requires a high school diploma, two years of maintenance experience, and sound knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in maintenance role.
- Sound knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electric, carpentry & mechanical systems (including relevant equipment & tools).
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare, long-term care environment or with the elderly preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations preferred.
