Maintenance Assistant/Transportation Driver

Job Summary
Perform routine preventive maintenance throughout the facility, complete assigned work orders, and assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs. Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, admissions, discharges, and other approved destinations while operating hospital vehicles and maintaining accurate logs. Maintain hospital grounds, inspect facilities for safety concerns, and respond promptly to emergency repairs. Assist with weekend safety rounds, on-call responsibilities, receiving deliveries, and supporting construction projects as assigned. Work full-time in Magnolia, Mississippi, with a valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Mississippi driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospital, healthcare, or commercial facility maintenance
- Experience transporting patients or operating wheelchair-accessible vehicles
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or general maintenance certifications are a plus
- Knowledge of life safety, emergency preparedness, and hospital regulatory requirements
