Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant supports the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home in compliance with policy and regulations. Responsibilities include sustaining a preventative maintenance program for community equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), completing all maintenance requests (scheduled and emergency), repairing/installing minor equipment as cleared by the Executive Director, maintaining water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners, kitchen equipment, and plumbing systems, performing exterior maintenance, conducting fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members, and engaging with residents in a compassionate manner reflecting core values. Requires high school diploma/GED and experience in HVAC and/or electrical; prior senior living experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent required
- Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required
- Prior Senior living experience desired
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
