Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant role at Solaris HealthCare in Ormond Beach, FL. Full-time, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Responsibilities include assisting the Plant Operations Director with maintenance and repair of buildings/grounds, coordinating with other departments, performing light repairs, supporting resident move-ins/move-outs, and completing emergency work orders. Must be able to read/speak English, work with residents and staff, and meet health/physical requirements. Physical tasks include moving frequently and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally. Background screening per Florida AHCA required. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, 401k match, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and uniforms. Shift differential may apply by location/position/shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of the TELS Maintenance Program a plus
- Experience in the Healthcare Industry a plus
- Nursing home experience preferred
- Basic plumbing and electrical experience preferred
- Must be able to read, speak and understand English
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to work beyond normal hours including weekends
- Medical/physical examination per Solaris HealthCare policy
