Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Performs scheduled maintenance on the physical plant and equipment, applies building and safety codes to facility situations, and maintains essential equipment (e.g., boiler room equipment, nursing unit refrigerators, kitchen refrigeration, laundry equipment). Demonstrates interpersonal skills to interact with staff and residents, resolves grievances promptly, and supports 24/7 readiness to respond to facility needs. Utilizes mechanical and technical concepts in facility repair and maintenance projects and participates in activities to enhance resident comfort and quality of life. Requires ability to work as part of a team and adapt to additional tasks as assigned; high school diploma or equivalent preferred and at least one year of relevant institutional experience; electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and drywall repair experience is advantageous. Required Qualifications
