Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant role in a senior living community: perform routine unit and common-area maintenance, painting, carpet care, and general repairs; complete assigned work orders for occupied resident apartments; assist with maintenance of community vehicles; support setup/cleanup for events and marketing functions; requires 1+ year facility maintenance experience, proficiency in plumbing/electrical/painting/carpentry/landscape tasks, basic computer skills, health/food-handling compliance, and CPR/First Aid credentials; full-time schedule Monday–Friday with benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision, retirement match, paid time off, holidays, and meals.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience in facility maintenance
- Proficient skills in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, general repairs and landscape maintenance
- Previous experience working in senior living or healthcare setting preferred
- Strong documentation/organization skills
- Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests and other team members
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Must meet health-related and/or food-handling requirements pertaining to local and state regulatory agencies
- Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid credentials
