Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant at a healthcare/rehabilitation center focused on building and grounds upkeep, including landscaping, HVAC/electrical/plumbing repairs, door/windows maintenance, security equipment, life-safety tasks, and routine safety audits. Requires ability to read and follow written/oral instructions, professionalism, empathy for the elderly and disabled, and the ability to work harmoniously with staff while performing hands-on maintenance, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs across facilities and grounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with commercial maintenance and repair of buildings
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, alarm systems, appliances
- General construction experience preferred
- Must read, write, speak and understand English
