Job Summary
Read blueprints and manuals to maintain and repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Operate hand and power tools safely while fixing electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, and medical equipment. Check faulty circuits or breakers, replace low voltage components, repair plaster and drywall, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures. Requires a valid driver's license, general equipment maintenance experience, and ability to assess physical plant problems. Preferred knowledge includes electrical and plumbing systems, HVAC, and building codes. Located at Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Polson, MT.
Required Qualifications
- General experience in equipment maintenance
- demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials
- Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to physical plant problems
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing
- Basic knowledge of copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe
- Basic knowledge of HVAC
- Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations
- Industry experience or similar general maintenance and repair background
