Job Summary
Perform general repairs including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and painting while conducting regular facility inspections and preventative maintenance across multiple locations. Assist with outdoor maintenance, including landscaping and snow removal, and operate power tools, hand tools, and maintenance equipment safely. Handle vehicle maintenance, including tune-ups and fluid checks, and support emergency and on-call repairs during severe weather conditions. Collaborate with the Facilities team to ensure smooth operations and keep properties in excellent condition year-round. Availability for evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3 years of experience in building maintenance or related fields
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License
- Boiler Operation License
- Basic computer skills to allow access to HOPES email and ESS
- Strong skills in electrical work
- Strong skills in plumbing
- Strong skills in carpentry
- Strong skills in HVAC systems
- Ability to use power tools and maintenance equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed
- Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination
- Successful completion of a TB screen
- Successful completion of a background screen inclusive of CHRI and CARI check
