Job Summary
Assist the Director of Maintenance with routine maintenance and repair tasks in a long-term care facility. Responsibilities include maintaining and cleaning electric and mechanical equipment, reporting mechanical problems, assisting in fire drills, cleaning lint, dust and debris from dryers, vents, and heat registers, ensuring mobility equipment (wheelchairs, shower chairs) and drug carts are functional, coordinating with housekeeping to service patient rooms and common areas, and performing miscellaneous assigned tasks. Must operate within applicable local codes and contribute to grounds maintenance (collecting and disposing leaves/refuse). Evening schedule: Saturdays through Tuesdays from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. High School Diploma required; experience operating and maintaining electric/mechanical systems and long-term care experience preferred.
