Job Summary
Inspect, care for, maintain, and repair facility property, grounds, and equipment while assisting in planning repair, maintenance, and new installation projects. Perform routine groundskeeping and heavy custodial duties, monitor facility systems for safe operation, and respond to emergency calls on a rotating weekend schedule. Read technical manuals, adhere to local building codes, and operate standard tools safely while working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Familiarity with local building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations
- Strong working knowledge of standard maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, including their proper care and safe usage
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and climb depending on the project
- Must be capable of heavy lifting and moving
- Willingness and ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
- Participate in a rotating on-call weekend schedule
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
