Job Summary
Seasonal Maintenance Assistant at Montello Care Center supports a long-term care community during summer through fall, performing routine building and grounds maintenance, painting, basic repairs, landscaping, and other upkeep to ensure a safe, attractive environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role involves hands-on outdoor and indoor work, requires the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and may include responding to maintenance requests and supporting special projects. The position emphasizes safety, adherence to facility standards, and carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Director or Facility Administrator.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to stand or walk in an 8-hour day.
- Must be physically able to waist lift, push and/or pull maximum of 80 pounds and overhead lift a maximum of 50 pounds, with frequent waist lifting and overhead lifting, pushing and/or pulling of objects up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to frequently bend, squat or climb during an 8-hour day.
- Must have valid driver's license with clear driving record.
