Job Summary
The Maintenance Assistant provides quality maintenance functions to the facility in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Essential duties include assisting with preventive maintenance, repairs and replacements; inspecting equipment and systems for proper functioning and safety; performing errands and moving heavy items; providing excellent customer service to patients; assisting in evacuation of patients; maintaining attendance and teamwork; and adhering to company policies, confidentiality, and compliance training. Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; prefer HS diploma and at least 1 year maintenance experience with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and local codes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license in current State with satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards
- High school graduate or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum of one year maintenance experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of local building codes and ordinances (preferred)
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
