Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant provides quality maintenance functions in a post-acute care facility following Life Care standards. Essential duties include assisting with preventive maintenance, repairs and replacements; inspecting equipment and systems for proper functioning and safety; handling incoming/outgoing freight and moving heavy furniture; exhibiting excellent customer service toward patients; assisting in patient evacuation; maintaining regular attendance; working effectively on an interdisciplinary team; and adhering to company policies, codes of conduct, and confidentiality requirements. Requires a valid driver’s license, ability to read/write/speak English, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and moving objects. Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year maintenance experience preferred
- Proven knowledge of various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred
- Knowledge of local building codes and ordinance preferred
