Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance tasks including building inspections for health and safety, drywall repairs, plumbing, and electrical work. Execute grounds maintenance such as snow/ice removal, lawn care, weeding, and pressure washing. Drive agency vehicles to pick up and deliver supplies, and pick up trash and rubbish daily. Disinfect facilities as needed and participate in the Adopt-A-Highway program. Operate hand tools and power equipment while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment. Report issues and follow regulatory guidelines for a healthy work setting. Rotating on-call responsibilities include nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- minimum of (3) three years of experience of trade-related employment
- Valid driver's license
- basic computer skills
- familiar with all aspects of general building and property maintenance, related to routine maintenance tasks
- ability to produce a quality finish with drywall repairs and painting
- ability to safely work with handheld power tools
- ability to analyze and respond appropriately to emergency situations
- ability to follow instructions and work as a team
- Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds
- Must be able to climb stairs/ladders
- Must be able to maintain balance on a platform or ladder
- Must be able to bend and crawl into awkward spaces
- must legally reside and perform their work in the state of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania
