Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant position responsible for routine maintenance and repair of residence, grounds, and building to maintain safety and appearance. Primary duties include preparing apartments for occupancy (painting) and coordinating with outside contractors as needed. Requires weekend work one per month, driving license preferred, and successful completion of drug screen and background check. The role emphasizes safety, time management, and effective English communication, with opportunities to work with a diverse team and participate in benefits and recognition programs.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- One or more years of maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare
- Valid driver’s license in the state employed is preferred
- Able to pass drug screen and background check
- Able to communicate effectively in English (oral and written)
- Experience with preventive maintenance schedules and safety standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing, stretching, and moving heavy furniture/equipment
