Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant responsible for diagnosing and repairing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features (pools, spas, etc.) and waste management systems; complete service requests and repairs in a safe, timely manner; ensure vacant apartments are rent-ready; promote safe work practices and comply with Fair Housing, building codes, and environmental laws; may supervise other team members and outside contractors; occasional weekend work and on-call; may drive company vehicle if required; requires high school diploma or GED, 1 year of property management maintenance experience, valid driver’s license; preferred handyman skills and willingness to learn; environment involves serving older adults in a senior living community.
