Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, and driveways by mowing, sweeping, and mulching. Execute repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems, including replacing lights and servicing heating and cooling units. Inspect fire alarms, emergency systems, and seasonal equipment for leaks or loose wiring. Repair emergency breakdowns immediately and prepare vacant rooms to rent-ready condition within 72 hours. Maintain drain, access areas, grease traps, and mechanical rooms while replenishing supplies. Provide transportation for residents as directed and advise the Executive Director on building concerns. Work on-call during emergencies as the building operates 24 hours, 7 days per week. Requires three years of experience and ability to work over 75% of the time on feet.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance related position
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Knowledge of how to use a wide variety of maintenance equipment as necessary tools of performing the job
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and building and fire safety codes
- Skills in all phases of building and equipment maintenance, cleanliness and repairs
- Willingness to be on call during emergency situations as the building operates 24 hours, 7 days per week
