Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, and driveways by mowing, sweeping, and mulching as needed. Execute repairs on plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems, including replacing lights and servicing heating and cooling units. Ensure compliance with fire safety codes and maintain safe operating practices across the facility. Repair emergency breakdowns immediately and prepare vacant rooms to a rent-ready condition within 72 hours of move-out. Maintain repair logs, replenish supplies, and provide transportation for residents as directed. Cooperate with staff to ensure a safe environment for residents, visitors, and employees. Willingness to work on-call during 24-hour operations and work 75% of the time on feet is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance related position
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Knowledge of how to use a wide variety of maintenance equipment as necessary tools of performing the job
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and building and fire safety codes
- Skills in all phases of building and equipment maintenance, cleanliness and repairs
- Willingness to be on call during emergency situations as the building operates 24 hours, 7 days per week
- Ability to perform long stretches (over 75% of the time) on ones' feet
- Willingness to tackle a variety of physical tasks throughout the community
