Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant supports the Director of Maintenance to keep the center in top condition, performing general and preventive maintenance, repairs to the building, grounds, and equipment, including plumbing, mechanical, and some electrical projects. Must follow safety protocols using PPE and assist in maintaining the facility Safety Program; may cover for the Maintenance Director as needed; flexible to work after hours and emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
- Maintenance experience, health care setting, preferred
- Ability to use power equipment (lawn equipment, chain saws, skill saw, electric drills, floor care)
- Ability to work in extreme weather and be on call
- Ability to walk, stand or sit for extended periods; kneel, crawl, reach, climb a ladder; lift up to 100 lbs
- Ability to work all scheduled hours and after hours/ emergency situations
- Possess safe-use of safety equipment and PPE
