Maintenance Assistant / Bus Driver

Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance schedules for resident rooms and common areas, inspecting hallways, walls, ceilings, floors, roofs, and mechanical equipment including HVAC units, laundry machines, and heating systems. Coordinate fire and disaster drills, monitor workplace safety for hazards, and report equipment problems immediately to leadership. Perform daily cleaning of flooring, lubricate motors and fans, change filters, and manage inventory security for tools and supplies. Execute work orders efficiently while adhering to OSHA mandates and confidentiality practices. Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends; work on-call as needed. Maintain a current State Issued Driver's License with minimal traffic violations. High school diploma or GED required; one to three years maintenance experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must maintain a current State Issued Drivers Licenses with minimal traffic violations
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends due to special events
- Must be able to work 'on call' as needed
- Ability to lift, maneuver, and support materials of up to 80 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years work experience in a maintenance, floor care and/or environmental capacity preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or experience working in long term care a plus
