Job Summary
Conduct repairs for electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems while maintaining grounds, parking lots, and driveways including snow/ice removal. Handle incoming and outgoing freight, lift heavy furniture, and drive the company vehicle as needed. Respond to off-hours calls and adjust schedules to meet facility needs, arriving on time and working as scheduled. Perform all duties according to safety rules, confidentiality policies, and resident privacy standards while demonstrating exceptional customer service and flexibility. Participate in facility meetings and inservices, utilizing electronic timekeeping and adhering to dress code and device policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Minimum one (1) year of related work experience in field such as maintenance, carpentry, contracting, etc.
- Current, valid driver license
- Participation in facility on-call program which may include working 'off-hours'
- Experienced in equipment operation such as small hand tools, electric tools, lawn mowers, snowblowers, etc.
- HS diploma or equivalent preferred
- Display of genuine concern for the elderly; a dependable, patient and compassionate attitude towards residents
- This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors
- In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
