Job Summary
Maintenance Assistant responsible for general maintenance of property and facilities across VOAWW sites, performing routine and preventative maintenance, groundskeeping, and janitorial duties; coordinates with the Maintenance Manager and vendors to maintain facilities and control expenditures; tasks include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and painting, with ability to identify projects that require higher-skilled crafts and to work with a team to ensure buildings and grounds are properly maintained and repaired in a timely fashion.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience as janitor/maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, light electrical, drywall, painting
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment and chemical makeup including OSHA standards
- Must be knowledgeable and have experience with hand, power, and landscaping tools
- Current clean Washington State driver’s license
- May be required to drive their personal vehicle for work on occasion
