Job Summary
Maintenance Apprentice position focusing on hands-on learning in inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining building systems and warehouse equipment. Responsibilities include assisting with preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery; supporting basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems under supervision; troubleshooting equipment issues; performing routine facility inspections; assisting with carpentry, painting, and general upkeep; managing maintenance supplies; responding to maintenance requests; assisting with lawn and grounds care; documenting maintenance work; following safety policies; and participating in on-the-job training and development opportunities. Requires HS Diploma or equivalent and ability to juggle multiple tasks with strong urgency, independent work capability, and physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs; work environment primarily in a warehouse with variable hours.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
- Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables
- Ability to work independently
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and position up to 80 lbs
- Must be able to operate equipment at heights up to 30 feet
- Work environment includes warehouse setting and exposure to mechanical equipment
