Job Summary
Assist with general plumbing, roofing, welding, electrical, and minor forklift repairs while performing sheet metal, carpentry, and CNC mill/lathe maintenance. Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot process machinery, and propose facility improvements under the supervision of the maintenance manager. Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining quality standards and operating cost goals. May operate forklifts or drive company vehicles as required. Due to ITAR compliance, applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. This full-time non-exempt role in Phoenix, AZ, requires moderate to proficient experience in general maintenance, mechanics, and reading written instructions. The position involves working consistently, overtime, and travel as needed. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED
- Six months or more of related experience
- U.S citizen or legal permanent resident
- Ability to safely and proficiently assist with the utilization of a large variety of tooling, including specific tools designed for specific pieces of equipment
- Moderate to proficient experience in general maintenance and repairs
- Moderate to proficient understanding of mechanics
- Ability to react to changes productively and perform other essential tasks as assigned
- Working consistently, working overtime, and traveling as required
- Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the Company
- Conduct himself/herself in a business-like and civil manner
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work well with only a modest amount of repeated instructions
- Be team oriented and possess flexibility and adaptability
- Continuously stand, walk, use hands and fingers to flex and extend fingers with opposition of thumb-palmar grasp, carry, climb bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, turn, twist, push and pull
- Talk or hear and move within the areas of the facilities and parking lots
- Frequently required to climb ladders, stairs, and inclined surfaces
- Occasionally required to sit, balance, and crawl
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus
