Job Summary
Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment to minimize downtime. Support production by addressing equipment problems during the 2nd shift and ensure all work areas remain clean while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Record all maintenance activities with attention to detail. This role requires Lock Out Tag Out certification and enrollment in a mechanical training program. Applicants must be willing to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally and standing for up to 12 hours per day.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 pounds repeatedly during shift
- Ability to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day
- Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping
- Frequent overhead work
- Basic Math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements
- Lock Out Tag Out certification
- Enrollment in a mechanical training program (example: C4, North Arkansas Community College)
- Willingness and ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- 2nd shift availability
