Job Summary
Provide assurance activities for Annual, One plus One, and Five-Year Work Programs and analyze continuous schedule risk against Stage Gate exit points. Identify opportunities to reduce through-life support costs and minimize unnecessary maintenance duplication. Review and assure TPCCs, progress reporting metrics, and procurement activities while monitoring risks associated with ILS and supportability. Perform ILS Analyst duties as required and contribute to programmatic assurance reports covering Stage Gate 1 to 6 end-to-end processes. This permanent full-time role is based in Garden Island, Sydney, requiring a Baseline Defence Security Clearance and 5+ years of Defence maintenance assurance experience.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised Vocational Education and Training qualification in Engineering
- Project and contract management experience
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Maintenance Assurance in a Defence role
- Working knowledge in Naval systems, such as Configuration Management Tool-Unified (CMT-U) and Asset Management and Planning System (AMPS)
- Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively, but can also operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening and evidence-based decision-making skills
- Active Baseline Defence Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Engineering diploma or maritime competences & trade skills
- Prior experience as a Waterfront Engineer or Ship Superintendent – Defence
- Proven skills and experience in leading contracted planned maintenance and breakdown activities
- Working knowledge in Naval Systems such as MILIS and NAVALLOW
- Excellent technical skills in marine systems
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in high pressure environments
