Job Summary
Maintenance and Reliability Manager II leads the site reliability improvement program for the Augusta Mill, directing and mentoring the reliability/maintenance teams to ensure safety, efficiency, productivity, and asset performance. Responsibilities include guiding maintenance prioritization and outage planning, engaging in capital planning to support reliability, owning data collection and analysis to drive action, establishing and monitoring key reliability metrics, promoting a reliability culture, and applying best practices/tools to improve maintenance and production outcomes. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and project-management capabilities, plus hands-on experience with predictive and preventive maintenance approaches, CMMS/SAP/JD Edwards familiarity, and a track record of continuous improvement. Travel is <10% and the position is on-site. Education and experience requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering and eight or more years in maintenance/engineering/project management or 15 years equivalent experience; experience with CMMS and data-driven decision making is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred)
- Minimum eight years’ experience in maintenance, engineering, project management and/or production management or 15 years equivalent practical experience in maintenance and reliability
- Functional understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance programs, work order systems, RCFA, FMEA, maintenance work control processes and world-class maintenance and reliability systems is desired
- Previous experience using a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) preferred (e.g. JD Edwards, SAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Continuous improvement / lean manufacturing experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to foster Continuous Improvement
