Job Summary

Define maintenance requirements and establish asset management policies for the California HSR project, including inventory classification, preventive programs, and condition-monitoring plans. Directly oversee a rolling stock expert while managing matrix-based teams across track, catenary, signaling, and operations disciplines. Support designers through the design phase and specify support facilities for maintenance of way, rolling stock, and operations control centers. Requires 15+ years in rail industry maintenance, a Master's degree, and a California PE license. Relocation is required for candidates outside Sacramento, CA.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years in the rail industry: design, construction, and maintenance
  • Minimum 2 years in a management or equivalent role overseeing rail infrastructure maintenance, ideally including track and/or catenary
  • High technical expertise and autonomy in HSR infrastructure maintenance and asset management, including: Asset lifecycle planning and condition-based maintenance
  • At least one experience on a new high-speed rail line project
  • Engineering degree (Master's or equivalent required)
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Fluent English (mandatory)
  • Proven leadership skills; ability to work in multicultural and international environments
  • Rigorous, autonomous, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to adapt communication from concise client summaries to detailed technical briefs for designers
  • High technical expertise and autonomy, especially in HSR infrastructure maintenance

Desired Qualifications

  • California Professional Engineer (PE) license is a strong plus
