Job Summary
Conduct general maintenance and upkeep for Palm Beach Tan retail locations in the St. Louis area, traveling to sites to perform repairs on washers, dryers, tanning beds, and spray booths. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, and doors; make minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs; perform touch-up painting, bulb replacement, and equipment setup/teardown. Utilize hand and power tools for grounds maintenance, assist in shipping and receiving parts, and provide support to staff and customers. Follow standard procedures, safety rules, and oral or written orders from the Head Maintenance and Facilities Tech, reporting completed work accordingly. Variable hours up to full-time depending on growth potential.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain
- Valid Driver's license
- Previous experience in building and equipment maintenance work
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral or written instructions
- Ability to relate to staff and public in a courteous manner
- Ability to acquire job skills with three months of on-the-job training
